Signalink USB voor TS-2000 en FT-817ND
Hi,
I own a Yaesu FT-817ND and a Kenwood TS-2000. I want both to connect to a Tigertronics Signalink USB. When I bought the Signalink USB it came with an cable to connect to the FT-817. I had to solder the internal DIP header to the Yaesu FT-817 configuration.
When i buy an other cable to connect to the TS-2000 i also have to reconfigure the internal DIP header. That is not going to happen each time. I used an old RJ-45 network patch cable, cut of one connector. And soldered the 13 pin din connector to the open end of the cable.
What is the configuration:
- Pin 1 (in the Yaesu FT-187) is the MIC signal. It must be connected to pin 11 on the 13 pin din acc2 connector.
- Pin 2 (in the Yaesu FT-187) is the GND signal. It must be connected to pin 4, 8 and 12 on the 13 pin din acc2 connector.
- Pin 3 (in the Yaesu FT-187) is the PTT signal. It must be connected to pin 9 on the 13 pin din acc2 connector.
- Pin 5 (in the Yaesu FT-187) is the SPKR signal. It must be connected to pin 3 on the 13 pin din acc2 connector.
After this custom cable. Switching between the FT-817ND and TS-2000 is as easy as switching the RJ-45 jack on the back side of the Signalink USB.
